The Forbidden City is the palace once home to the emperors of China

The Forbidden City, the palace once home to the emperors of China, was built by workers sliding giant stones for miles on slippery paths of wet ice, researchers have found.

 659
The Forbidden City, extending 753 meters from east to west, and 961 meters from north to south, makes a rectangular shape and covers a total area of 720,000 square meters. It consists of several dozen compounds of varying sizes and some 9,900 bays of rooms, with a total floor area of 150,000 square meters. Most of the buildings were built with wood, roofed with yellow glazed tiles and built on blue-and-white stone foundations, looking solemn and brilliant. City walls were 10 meters high, and a 52 meter-wide moat surround the Forbidden City. Three-storied towers are placed at each corner of the wall. Chinatourguide.com is pleased to take you to grab a genuine China tours.

660
Seat of supreme power for over five centuries (1416-1911), the Forbidden City in Beijing, with its landscaped gardens and many buildings (whose nearly 10,000 rooms contain furniture and works of art), constitutes a priceless testimony to Chinese civilization during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Imperial Palace of the Qing Dynasty in Shenyang consists of 114 buildings constructed between 1625–26 and 1783. It contains an important library and testifies to the foundation of the last dynasty that ruled China, before it expanded its power to the centre of the country and moved the capital to Beijing. This palace then became auxiliary to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. This remarkable architectural edifice offers important historical testimony to the history of the Qing Dynasty and to the cultural traditions of the Manchu and other tribes in the north of China.

Potala Palace is actually an architecture group situated on an extremely high mountain

Potala Palace, situated in the west part of Lhasa, is actually an architecture group situated on an extremely high mountain in the northwest of Lhasa, consisting of temples, palaces, dormitories and office areas. Except the name Potala Palace, some Tibetans also call this mysterious architecture the 2nd Putuo Moutain, because they believe that this place is also for divinities who would always bless them. The reasons of why people built the Potala Palace vary. Some say the Songain Gambo built it to enhance his political power, by preventing enemies from outside. Others say Songzain Gambo, the King of Tubo, in order to marry the princess of Tang Dynasty, declared the start of this miracle. After the restoration 10 17th century, the Potala Palace became the White House in Tibet of every Dalai Lama and the the political center as well. It is of Tibetan characteristics, leaning against the huge mountain. The Potala Palace has earned the name “heaven of arts”, for numerous invaluable treasures are collected within. The State Council of the people's Republic of China announced that the Potala Palace had been chosen to be one of the national cultural relic protection units in 1961. In 1994, it was listed as one of the World’s Culture Heritages by UNESCO. Interesting in Potala Palace Tour? HRC is pleased to offer great service to build a unique China tour for you.

 594
Built at an altitude of 3,700 m (12,100 ft), on the side of Marpo Ri ('Red Mountain') in the center of Lhasa Valley, the Potala Palace, with its vast inward-sloping walls broken only in the upper parts by straight rows of many windows, and its flat roofs at various levels, is not unlike a fortress in appearance. At the south base of the rock is a large space enclosed by walls and gates, with great porticos on the inner side. A series of tolerably easy staircases, broken by intervals of gentle ascent, leads to the summit of the rock. The whole width of this is occupied by the palace.

593
The Potala Palace is an immense structure, its interior space being in excess of 130,000 square meters. Fulfilling numerous functions, the Potala was first and foremost the residence of the Dalai Lama and his large staff. In addition, it was the seat of Tibetan government, where all ceremonies of state were held; it housed a school for religious training of monks and administrators; and it was one of Tibet's major pilgrimage destinations because of the tombs of past Dalai Lamas. Within the White Palace are two small chapels, the Phakpa Lhakhang and the Chogyal Drubphuk; dating from the seventh century, these chapels are the oldest surviving structures on the hill and also the most sacred. The Potala's most venerated statue, the Arya Lokeshvara, is housed inside the Phapka Lhakhang, and it draws thousands of Tibetan pilgrims each day.

The Six Banyan Tree Temple is worth Temple of the Six Banyan Treesvisiting

While not the most inspiring temple you will see in China, or in Guangzhou, the Six Banyan Tree Temple is worth Temple of the Six Banyan Treesvisiting for its incredible 54 meter pagoda, which is more than 900 years old. This Buddhist temple was founded in 537 AD and rebuilt in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). The octagonal, 17-storey ‘Flowery Pagoda’, so named because someone seemed to think the structure was colorful, was built in 1098. Originally called the Baozhuangyan Temple, it went through several name changes. The current name was the work of famous poet Su Dongpo (1037-1101), who was so very impressed by the six, grand banyan trees growing in the grounds (now long gone), that he had to write down the words liu rong (six banyan trees). The name of the temple was changed to this a few centuries later and Su’s inscription (or a reproduction of it) remains at the temple.

The thousand-Buddha copper pillar cast in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) is kept on the top story of the pagoda. The 184-foot pagoda appears to have nine stories; inside, however, there are 17 levels. Because of the colorful exterior carvings, it is popularly known as the Flower Pagoda.
In the temple, there is a lofty Buddha Pagoda (originally called Dagoba), and this is the famous ancient high-rise building in Guangzhou. To the west of the pagoda is the Mahavira Palace, in which three giant bronze Buddha statues are located.

Namjagbarwa Peak is reputed to be Paradise in the Clouds

Namjagbarwa Peak, located in Nyingchi Prefecture of Tibet Autonomous Region, is reputed to be Paradise in the Clouds. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Himalayas have been hailed as humankind's last land of mystery.

582
The word “Namjagbarwa” has several meanings in the Tibetan language, among which the most acknowledged is “the spear piercing into the sky”. Folklore suggests the mountaintop is where the gods get together, and the cloud around is smoke rising from the fragrant branches they burn. As a result, residents in the canyon deeply revere the lofty mountain.

583
It spans from the tropical zone to the frigid zone. The southern slope of Namjagbarwa Peak, with an elevation lower than 1100 meters, enjoys a warm and rainy climate. The evergreen rainforest composed of kapur, shorea assamica and some other plants is located at the lower slop with an elevation under 500 meters. The Xinghai Concert Hall is the best concert venue in Guangzhou

The Xinghai Concert Hall is the best concert venue in Guangzhou. It is named after Xian Xinghai, a renowned Chinese composer, who was just born in Guangzhou.  The Hall consists of three parts, a symphony performing Hall with 1500 seats, a Chamber Music Hall and a Music Material Room.

408
Named after Xian Xinghai, the Xinghai Concert Hall used to be Guangzhou’s main concert hall, comprising a symphony hall with 1,500 seats and a chamber music hall with 460 seats and located on Linjiang Arts Center Square on Ersha Island. The hyperbolic design covers the sound-optimized “mountain-valley terraced fields” of seat rows of the main hall. The Xinghai Concert Hall will be the place for the Gala concerts.

409
The symphony performing Hall was designed on the basis of natural sound, using reinforced concrete shell of hyperbolic paraboloids to cover the "Mountain valley-Terraced fields" seats so that the surfaces of these two parts directly form a "sound field". The architectural structural space is a acoustics one. The hard interior surface of the reinforced concrete shell and the sidewall of the parquet seat areas serve as the interface of the reflection and diffusion of the music sound. In addition, a spheric diffuser hung above the performing stage improves the mutually heard condition on the performing stage and reinforces the early reflected sound for the front seat areas.

Northern Pattaya is quite peaceful

Northern Pattaya is quite peaceful, whereas the central and southern parts are livelier, always buzzing with tourists in search for fun. This area of the beach is lined with nightclubs and beach bars that have earned it its raucous reputation. Most people like it in Indochina Thailand tour or Vietnam Cambodia Thailand Tours .

t11

The whole beach is flanked by a tree-lined esplanade dotted with restaurants, noodle bars, souvenir shops, clothing shops, food stalls etc. Unfortunately, the beach is usually overcrowded since it is only 30 metres wide and still densely packed with umbrellas and deck chairs for hire. Furthermore, the water quality is rather poor and not very suitable for bathing. There are no showers available on the beach either. However, Pattaya Beach boasts an excellent selection of watersports, including banana boats, rubber rings, jet skis, pedaloes etc. Note that you should beware of the notorious Jet Ski Scam if you don’t want to be ripped off. Pattaya Beach is an excellent place to lounge in your deckchair, have a coconut or a cold beer. You can also take an ultimately satisfying Thai massage while on the beach.
Before North Pattaya’s popular; it’s was a salt field industry. That’s why the scene still rustic; with original way such as house, boat, fishing boat, field, noodle and craft. End the rustic by Dolphin monument; start point of North Pattaya beach side.
Environment of North Pattaya beach side was different from slat filed. Many hotel, resort and restaurant and you can take a walk under palm to central Pattaya

The complex encompasses the remains of several Khmer capitals spanning the 9th to 15th centuries. The region is believed to have been chosen for its beneficial agricultural and military position. Interestingly, the primary temples were discovered to have emulated the Draco constellations existing in 10,500 BC during the spring equinox.

It was not until 626 that the third phase began, during the height of the Tang dynasty, when Chinese Buddhism had begun to flourish again. This was once again a period of intensive cutting of grottoes; it was the highpoint artistically of Longmen, especially during the reigns of Emperor Gaozang and Empress Wuzetian, who lived permanently at Luoyang. The group of giant statues in Fengxiansi Cave is most fully representative of this phase of Chinese art at Longmen; they are generally acknowledged to be artistic masterpieces of truly global significance.
The final phase, from 755 to 1127, during the later Tang through to the Northern Song dynasty, saw a steep decline in the carving of grottoes at Longmen. This began with the capture of Luoyang in the mid-8th century during a rebellion, an event from which the area never recovered. It was the outbreak of warfare during the Jin and Yuan dynasties that brought grotto carving to an end.

The Temple of Literature is dedicated to the Chinese philosopher Confucius

One of the oldest sights in Hanoi is the Temple of Literature, called Van Mieu in Vietnamese. The "temple" was founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, and is dedicated to the Chinese philosopher Confucius. Six years later, Vietnam's first university was founded here to teach the children of royalty and aristocracy (generally called mandarins). In 1484, another Emperor Le Thanh Tong had stele erected in one of the courtyards to record the statistics and achievements of those who received doctorates from the university. The school continued until its functions were transferred by Emperor Gia Long to the new capital at Hue in 1802.

The Temple of Literature, dedicated to Confucius, was founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong. In 1076, Vietnam's first university was established here to educate Vietnam's administrative and warriors class. Parts of the university date from this earlier time period although the large complex has undergone many changes over the centuries. But recent archaeological study indicates that the architecture of this site belongs primarily to the Ly (1010-1225) and Tran (1225-1400) Dynasties. The complex is in a tranquil park-like site in the heart of central Hanoi.
In the courtyards of the Temple of Literature in Hanoi today remained 82 of the 116 steles with the name of all those excellent students. The steles are placed on a stone tortoise (tortoise is the symbol of longevity in the Vietnamese culture). It is a tradition and omen of good luck, touch the head of all turtles, that is the reason why the conservation status of some of these turtles is not very good. The steles dated the first examination by the year 1442, and the last in 1779.

The Classical Gardens of Suzhou are masterpieces of Chinese landscape garden design

The Classical Gardens of Suzhou are masterpieces of Chinese landscape garden design in which art, nature, and ideas are integrated perfectly to create ensembles of great beauty and peaceful harmony, and the gardens are integral to the entire historic urban plan.
Built in 1566, the Lingering Garden is a classic example of Ming Dynasty private garden style. Its most famous feature is the Cloud-Crowned Peak. It is listed as one of Suzhou’s four most famous gardens.

16
The Lion Grove Garden is particularly famous for its rockeries – bizarre (seemingly to my untrained eye) man-made formations of hand-picked rocks by the designers of the garden. Built in 1342 during the Yuan Dynasty, it is counted as one of Suzhou’s four most famous gardens.

When Suzhou is mentioned, the first thought in every Chinese mind is of its gardens. It is said that the gardens to the south of Yangtze River are the best in the world, and Suzhou gardens are the best among them. The history of the classical gardens of Suzhou can be traced back to 6 BC. By the time of the Ming and Qing dynasties, Suzhou City had become a garden city with more than 200 gardens. Having experienced a long history, only a part of the gardens are preserved perfectly. Because of their ingenious man-made landscape and the ideal of harmony between heaven and human beings, the gardens have gained a high reputation world wide.

By looking to the South can be found the famous sign: vertically down from the Summit of the big tank and a transverse rock formation consisting of Buddhism (Buddhist symbol of spiritual strength, meaning Dharma forever, represents propitious and protects. Kailas was often white cloud.

490
This Mountain is considered holy by Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. In ancient texts, it is referred to as the center of the world. The reason can be understood from the geographical significance of it's place: within 30 miles radius, are the sources of mighty rivers Indus (north called "Sindhu" in India), Sutlej (in west), Brahmaputra (Yarlung Tsang-po in east), and Karnali (largest tributary to the Ganges in south).

493
How long have people been coming to this sacred mountain? The answers are lost in antiquity, before the dawn of Hinduism, Jainism or Buddhism. The cosmologies and origin myths of each of these religions speak of Kailash as the mythical Mt. Meru, the Axis Mundi, the center and birth place of the entire world. The mountain was already legendary before the great Hindu epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, were written. Indeed, Kailash is so deeply embedded in the myths of ancient Asia that it was perhaps a sacred place of another era, another civilization, now long gone and forgotten.

The history of the roast duck can be traced back to as early as the Yuan Dynasty (1206-1368) when it was listed among the imperial dishes. During the Qianlong period (1736-1796) of the Qing Dynasty, roast duck was a favorite delicacy of the upper classes. Over a long period of development, a consummate and precise procedure for cooking Peking Roast Duck has been firmly established. Tourist like it in China Tours.

Over a long period of development exceeding some 140 years, a consummate and precise procedure for cooking Beijing Roast Duck has been firmly established:
First, a suitable White Beijing Duck will be chosen for preparation. After the bird has been plucked, air is pumped between its skin and flesh. A small incision is made for the removal of the entrails.
Secondly, and once the bird has been thoroughly cleaned, a wooden skewer is inserted through it to facilitate its hanging and ultimate heating; the body cavity is filled with water and the incision that had been made is closed.
Thirdly, the skin of the duck is air dried and brushed with a layer of sugar.
Fourthly, the duck is then put into a large oven, using a smokeless hardwood fuel and heating to about 270 degrees Centigrade for 30 to 40 minutes. The duck is turned frequently during the roasting process to ensure even cooking.
Then the delicious roast duck is ready! It will be a shining date-red in color and unique in flavor; Beijing Roast Duck is characterized by its crispy skin and tender texture. Besides the traditional roast duck, many restaurants offer an All Duck Banquet - various dishes cooked with the offal and juices of the duck, surrounding the main dish. It will be sure to give you satisfaction and enjoyment when dining.

The biggest attraction on Lantern Festival is the sea of lanterns in every conceivable size and shape

The Lantern Festival, also called Yuan Xiao Jie, was celebrated at the fifteen day of the first lunar month. It marks the end of New Year's celebrations, also the first time to see a full moon of that year in Lunar Calendar.

452
Of course, for Lantern Festival, the displaying of lanterns is a major event at night. In the moonlight, lanterns with various colors, shapes, and sizes are hung in the streets. People walk at a leisurely pace, and appreciate the creativity of diverse lanterns. Children carry self-made or bought paper lanterns, and have fun with their family. “Guessing lantern riddles” is an essential part for lantern watching. The puzzles or riddles were written on a piece of paper and posted on the lanterns. If one can solve that puzzles, a little gift would be given.
The biggest attraction on Lantern Festival is the sea of lanterns in every conceivable size and shape. Chinese started to celebrate the Lantern Festival since the Han Dynasty (206BC-221AD), and then it became popular during the Tang and Song dynasties. This is a festival for people to have fun. On the night, people go to streets with a variety of lanterns under the full moon, watching Lion or Dragon Dance, playing Chinese riddles and games, enjoying the typical food called Yuan Xiao and setting off firecrackers. There is really a lot of fun for the young and the old.

450
Besides entertainment and beautiful lanterns, another important part of the Lantern Festival or Yuan Xiao Festival is eating small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour. We call these balls Yuan Xiao or Tang Yuan. Obviously, they get the name from the festival itself. Made of sticky rice flour filled with sweet stuffing and round in shape, it symbolizes family unity, completeness and happiness.

Chinese New Year ends with the Lantern Festival

Chinese New Year ends with the Lantern Festival, held on the full moon 15 days after the new year - a time when people hang glowing lanterns in the windows of their houses and dancers carry dragons made of paper, silk and bamboo through the streets collecting money.

446
Traditions include an annual reunion dinner for families on new year's eve and the decorating of doors and windows with intricate red paper designs. People thoroughly clean their homes to sweep away any ill-fortunes and children are given money inside red paper envelopes. More information about Chinese New Year in China Tour chinatourguide.com.
Maybe one has heard of the horrific Spring Festival Rush in China, referred to as the largest annual human migration in the world. During the period around Chinese New Year, everyone struggles to return to their respective hometowns to reunite with their families. It is a time when the whole country faces extremely high traffic load and terrible travel condition. There are also shortages of air, train and bus tickets. To some extent, the Spring Festival is not only a festival, but also a challenge for tourists coming to China.  It is thus best to avoid coming to China during this period.

The Yueyaquan lake is a source of attraction for tourists from all over the world

Located 6 km south of the Dunhuang city, the Yueyaquan lake is crescent shaped and is a source of attraction for tourists from all over the world. This beautiful lake is surrounded by a desert which is a treat to the eyes.

421
Here you can enjoy not only the rare view where an oasis meets the desert, but also some fun sand adventures, such as riding camels, 'dune surfing' sand sliding. After climbing to the top of the dunes, from there you can't help but marvel at the dramatic view. You have discovered the wondrous sight of Crescent Spring!

417
For thousands of years, Crescent Lake has remained clear and flowing. It is a real desert wonder. There are many beautiful legends about the formation of the lake but, in fact, the most important reason is the landscape. The land here is a little lower so the altitude is fit for storing water. In addition, research has revealed that in this special crescent landform, the falling sands from the surrounding dune would be sent back to the other side of the nearby Echoing-Sand Dune. Thus, the sands do not engulf the lake. This extraordinary earth movement keeps the sand dunes and lake eternally in a harmonious and almost paradoxical existence.
