The Mogao Caves of Dunhuang

The Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang, China has been a treasure house of art, spanning over 1,000 years.  In each and every one of its 492 Buddhist cave chapels, you will find floor-to-ceiling paintings and clay sculptures as it was previously used for devotions and meditation. The art inside here covers more than ten major genres, such as architecture, stucco sculpture, wall paintings, silk paintings, calligraphy, woodblock printing, embroidery, literature, music and dance, and popular entertainment. But all these only existed because of one man’s vision. Welcome to China, Chinatourguide.com is pleasure to provide service for your China tours, We also provide Thailand tour packages or Cambodia tour packages.

Illustrated in color throughout, Cave Temples of Mogao combines lavish photographs of the caves and their art with the fascinating history of Mogao, Dunhuang, and the Silk Road to create a vivid portrait of this remarkable site. Chapters discuss the development of the cave temples, the iconography of the wall paintings, and the extraordinary story of the rare manuscripts, including the oldest printed book in existence, a ninth-century copy of the Diamond Sutra. The book also describes the long-term collaboration between the Getty Conservation Institute and Chinese authorities in conservation projects at Mogao as well as the caves and the museum that can be visited today. The publication of this book coincides with the centenary of the discovery of the manuscripts in the Library Cave.

750
The first Tantric themes appear at the time of the occupation of Dunhuang by the Tibetans, from 790 to 851. Following the conquest of Gansu by the Tanguts, these themes multiplied, encouraged by the proliferation of lama sects under the Western Xia (1036-1227). With this same invasion in 1036 correspond the 45,000 manuscripts discovered in 1900 by the Taoist monk Wang Yuan-lu (Wang Guolu) in a cave where they had been hidden at the approach of the Ta nguts. Although dispersed, this fabulous collection is one of the essential sources of Asian history.

The Dianchi Lake Scenic Area is located in the southwest part of Kunming City

The Dianchi Lake Scenic Area is located in the southwest part of Kunming City. Dianchi Lake is, beyond question, the center of the resort. There are numerous attractions along the lake captivating tourists. Among these are the Yunnan Ethnic Villages, Grand View Park (Daguan Park), White Fish Park (Baiyukou Park), Haigeng Bank, Kwan-yin Hill, Western Hills Forest Park, temples and pagodas. Towns, big or small near the lake provide visitors with an opportunity to experience customs of the local people.

 736
The lake is about 25 miles (40 km) from north to south, 8 miles (13 km) wide, and 25 feet (8 metres) deep. The mountains rise steeply from the eastern and western shores, but to the north is an extensive alluvial plain, which has been intensively irrigated since the Yuan (Mongol) dynasty (1279–1368) and the early part of the Ming dynasty (1368–1644). Before that time the region was under Chinese influence only for limited periods of time. The area was settled by sedentary agricultural peoples as early as the 2nd century bc. It was successively the centre of the independent state of Dian, which became tributary to the Han dynasty (206 bc–ad 220) after 109 bc, and of the states of Nanchao (8th–10th century), Dali (10th–13th century), and Houli (11th–13th century). Welcome to China, Chinatourguide.com is pleasure to provide service for your China tours, We also provide Thailand tour packages or Cambodia tour packages.

In order to preserve the environment of Dian Lake, the Kunming city government enstated the “Dian Lake Protection Act” in 1998. The objective was to improve water quality and reduce pollution. This act was modified and re-enstated in 20134. According to the new terms, the government regulates the sewage discharge and also is responsible for setting up a special fund to administer the ecological compensation. The purpose is not only to reduce water pollution in Dian Lake, but also to restore its original natural appearance.

The West Lake in Hangzhou

In the words of a popular adage, “Just as Paradise is in Heaven, so Suzhou and Hangzhou are on Earth.  West Lake is dotted with green trees and many colourful flowers-among them lotus, chrysanthemum and orchid. There are many other culture relics and archaeological sites around West Lake, for example, the famous Grand Canal. Welcome to China for Canton Trade fair. HRC is pleasure to provide Guangzhou hotels booking and China Tour guide .

 714
Lying on the west edge of Hangzhou city, the beautiful West Lake covers a total area of 6.3 sq. km including islands in the lake and with an average depth of 2.27 m. It is divided into 5 areas by Su Causeway and Bai Causeway: Outer West  Lake, West Inner Lake,North Inner Lake, Little South Lake and  Yue Lake. In ancient times, this place had been a shallow sea gulf before it evolved into a "residual" lake, a term used in geography. Embraced by mountains and hills on three sides, the lake contains glittering blue water with Bai and Su Causeways lying calmly in it. Three islets of Lesser Yingzhou, Mid-Lake Pavilion and Ruangong Dun tripartitely stand at the centre of the lake which is girdled by a number of parks with myriad blossoming flowers and dense trees to hide in vain picturesque pavilions and towers. Here, one's poetic sentiments are inspired. The surrounding hills home miraculously shaped peaks and serene forests and springs, providing scenes to supplement those of the Lake. There hide amidst these hills China's national art treasures as ancient engraved stone tablets, architecture and stone figure carvings.

719

The improved landscape of West Lake can be seen to reflect Buddhist ideals imported into China from India such as 'Buddhist peacefulness' and 'nature as paintings', and in turn it had a major influence on landscape design in East Asia. Its causeways, islands, bridges, temples, pagodas and well defined views, were widely copied over China, notably in the summer Palace at Beijing and in Japan. The notion of ten poetically named scenic places persisted for seven centuries all over China and also spread to the Korean peninsula after the 16th century, when Korean intellectuals made visits to the West Lake.

Barkhor Street is a quadrangle-shaped bustling bazaar surround Jokhang Temple

Located in the downtown area of the old Lhasa city, Barkhor Street is a quadrangle-shaped bustling bazaar surround Jokhang Temple.  The street dates back to the year 647, and Jokhang Temple was built by order of Tibet’s first king, Songtsen Gampo.  In order to supervise the slaves, Songtsen Gampo and his ministers moved to Barkhor Street and residing in the area surrounding Jokhang Temple.  Gradually, more and more Buddhist pilgrims came in order to pray and, as a result, Barkhor Street came into being. Numerous Tibetan Buddhists pilgrimages make their way here, holding prayer wheels and chanting prayers and prostrating themselves clockwise around the street at the end of their journey to the sacred Jokhang Temple. Chinatourguide is pleased to offer great service in your China Tours.

 696
The grand scale of Jokhang Temple, which is said to be built by Songtsen Gampo, immediately drew millions of pilgrimages from the area. Those pilgrimages walked a path around the temple and that path is the original Barkhor Street. Now you can still see many pilgrimages walk clockwisely in the street, holding the prayer wheels. They can walk from morning till the night. Some of them move forward body-lengths by body-lengths. Some are only teenagers. Some have traveled thousands of miles before they get to the temple. All they do is to testify their piety to their beliefs, and from their acts, tourists can directly feel the strength of religion.

697
To sum up, Barkhor Street is a place full of religious atmosphere and a world of exotic articles. If you have been attracted by it, you should go there. Believe your eyes, and you will get a lot of surprise there.

The Forbidden City, the palace once home to the emperors of China, was built by workers sliding giant stones for miles on slippery paths of wet ice, researchers have found.

The Forbidden City is in much better condition today than it was on my first visit several decades ago. The government has been making a major effort in renovating the palace, bringing it back to its former architectural grandeur. Welcome to China, Chinatourguide.com is pleasure to provide service for your China tours or indochina tours.

221
Forbidden City consists of 980 buildings, chiefly in red and yellow colors, enclosed by a wall of 32 feet high and a moat of 171 feet wide. This complex palace is a must see view for every visitor to Beijing. You should be careful about the horde of people who pay visit to this complex palace on public holidays or weekends. For your suitability and convenience, you can pay visit to this palace on weekdays.  On such peak days, this complex remains so crammed with the people that you will not be able to enjoy yourself. Most of the tour groups move about with their colored caps, banners and whistles. At many times, you need to elbow your way for seeing taking the pictures. You are recommended to come here during wee hours of the morning or later in the afternoon to overcome the rush of crowd and enjoy this complex place before people turn up and spoil your pleasure.

The Wuzhen town is dotted with the ponds and green trees

The beautiful 6,500-year-old water town of Wuzhen – the last in China – is often called the “Venice of the East.” It is a charming place full of ancient bridges, heritage hotels, boutiques and restaurants all built around an amazing water network that is part of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, the longest canal in the world. Welcome to China for Canton Fair 2014, HRC is pleased to take you to grab a genuine China Tour.

670
The town is dotted with the ponds and green trees. People can have boating on the rivers. Wuzheng Town also has many famous historical cultural relics. Wuzheng Town is most noted for being the hometown of Mao Dun, a great literary master in modern China. Mao Dun's former living place, a building of the Qing Dynasty, is situated in the middle of Guanqian Street in Wuzheng Town. In 1988, it was listed by the State Council as a relic under the special protection of the State.

671
Enjoying a well-deserved reputation as the best teahouse in the town, the pavilion obtained its name from an accidental meeting between Lu Tong, the owner, and Lu Yu, the Patron Saint of Tea in Tang Dynasty (618-907). It is said that Lu Yu once mistakenly ate some poisonous leaves and was rescued by Lu Tong, who happened to collect tea leaves at that time. In return, Lu Yun taught Lu Tong knowledge of tea and tea-making skills, which resulted in the prosperity of Lu Tong's teahouse. Suggested by one guest, Lu Tong changed the house's name to Pavilion of Visits to Lu, to memorize this respectable scholar. Located to the south of Ying Bridge and backing onto the city river, the teahouse enjoys a broad view of Guanqian Street and provides visitors with pleasant relaxation.

The Forbidden City is the palace once home to the emperors of China

The Forbidden City, the palace once home to the emperors of China, was built by workers sliding giant stones for miles on slippery paths of wet ice, researchers have found.

 659
The Forbidden City, extending 753 meters from east to west, and 961 meters from north to south, makes a rectangular shape and covers a total area of 720,000 square meters. It consists of several dozen compounds of varying sizes and some 9,900 bays of rooms, with a total floor area of 150,000 square meters. Most of the buildings were built with wood, roofed with yellow glazed tiles and built on blue-and-white stone foundations, looking solemn and brilliant. City walls were 10 meters high, and a 52 meter-wide moat surround the Forbidden City. Three-storied towers are placed at each corner of the wall. Chinatourguide.com is pleased to take you to grab a genuine China tours.

660
Seat of supreme power for over five centuries (1416-1911), the Forbidden City in Beijing, with its landscaped gardens and many buildings (whose nearly 10,000 rooms contain furniture and works of art), constitutes a priceless testimony to Chinese civilization during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Imperial Palace of the Qing Dynasty in Shenyang consists of 114 buildings constructed between 1625–26 and 1783. It contains an important library and testifies to the foundation of the last dynasty that ruled China, before it expanded its power to the centre of the country and moved the capital to Beijing. This palace then became auxiliary to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. This remarkable architectural edifice offers important historical testimony to the history of the Qing Dynasty and to the cultural traditions of the Manchu and other tribes in the north of China.

It was at this spot on September 2 1945 that Ho Chi Minh declared independence for Vietnam under the approving watch of hundreds of thousands of his countrymen and women. His Viet Minh troops had collaborated with US forces in the defeat of the Japanese in World War II and a handful of US OSS intelligence officials were on hand to wish him well. His Declaration of Independence borrowed heavily from the American version.
Founder of the Viet Minh, the Vietnamese Communist Party, Ho Chi Minh went on to fight for Vietnam’s independence from the Japanese. The site on which the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is located was where Ho declared independence from the Japanese in 1945. However, this was followed by a war with the French, after which Vietnam was divided. Ho Chi Minh became the leader of the communist North Vietnam.

Potala Palace is actually an architecture group situated on an extremely high mountain

Potala Palace, situated in the west part of Lhasa, is actually an architecture group situated on an extremely high mountain in the northwest of Lhasa, consisting of temples, palaces, dormitories and office areas. Except the name Potala Palace, some Tibetans also call this mysterious architecture the 2nd Putuo Moutain, because they believe that this place is also for divinities who would always bless them. The reasons of why people built the Potala Palace vary. Some say the Songain Gambo built it to enhance his political power, by preventing enemies from outside. Others say Songzain Gambo, the King of Tubo, in order to marry the princess of Tang Dynasty, declared the start of this miracle. After the restoration 10 17th century, the Potala Palace became the White House in Tibet of every Dalai Lama and the the political center as well. It is of Tibetan characteristics, leaning against the huge mountain. The Potala Palace has earned the name “heaven of arts”, for numerous invaluable treasures are collected within. The State Council of the people's Republic of China announced that the Potala Palace had been chosen to be one of the national cultural relic protection units in 1961. In 1994, it was listed as one of the World’s Culture Heritages by UNESCO. Interesting in Potala Palace Tour? HRC is pleased to offer great service to build a unique China tour for you.

 594
Built at an altitude of 3,700 m (12,100 ft), on the side of Marpo Ri ('Red Mountain') in the center of Lhasa Valley, the Potala Palace, with its vast inward-sloping walls broken only in the upper parts by straight rows of many windows, and its flat roofs at various levels, is not unlike a fortress in appearance. At the south base of the rock is a large space enclosed by walls and gates, with great porticos on the inner side. A series of tolerably easy staircases, broken by intervals of gentle ascent, leads to the summit of the rock. The whole width of this is occupied by the palace.

593
The Potala Palace is an immense structure, its interior space being in excess of 130,000 square meters. Fulfilling numerous functions, the Potala was first and foremost the residence of the Dalai Lama and his large staff. In addition, it was the seat of Tibetan government, where all ceremonies of state were held; it housed a school for religious training of monks and administrators; and it was one of Tibet's major pilgrimage destinations because of the tombs of past Dalai Lamas. Within the White Palace are two small chapels, the Phakpa Lhakhang and the Chogyal Drubphuk; dating from the seventh century, these chapels are the oldest surviving structures on the hill and also the most sacred. The Potala's most venerated statue, the Arya Lokeshvara, is housed inside the Phapka Lhakhang, and it draws thousands of Tibetan pilgrims each day.

Namjagbarwa Peak is reputed to be Paradise in the Clouds

Namjagbarwa Peak, located in Nyingchi Prefecture of Tibet Autonomous Region, is reputed to be Paradise in the Clouds. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Himalayas have been hailed as humankind's last land of mystery.

582
The word “Namjagbarwa” has several meanings in the Tibetan language, among which the most acknowledged is “the spear piercing into the sky”. Folklore suggests the mountaintop is where the gods get together, and the cloud around is smoke rising from the fragrant branches they burn. As a result, residents in the canyon deeply revere the lofty mountain.

583
It spans from the tropical zone to the frigid zone. The southern slope of Namjagbarwa Peak, with an elevation lower than 1100 meters, enjoys a warm and rainy climate. The evergreen rainforest composed of kapur, shorea assamica and some other plants is located at the lower slop with an elevation under 500 meters. Various typical tropical plants grow in the dark and humid tropical rainforest, such as the sugar palm and some other rattan plants.

The Xinghai Concert Hall is the best concert venue in Guangzhou

The Xinghai Concert Hall is the best concert venue in Guangzhou. It is named after Xian Xinghai, a renowned Chinese composer, who was just born in Guangzhou.  The Hall consists of three parts, a symphony performing Hall with 1500 seats, a Chamber Music Hall and a Music Material Room.

408
Named after Xian Xinghai, the Xinghai Concert Hall used to be Guangzhou’s main concert hall, comprising a symphony hall with 1,500 seats and a chamber music hall with 460 seats and located on Linjiang Arts Center Square on Ersha Island. The hyperbolic design covers the sound-optimized “mountain-valley terraced fields” of seat rows of the main hall. The Xinghai Concert Hall will be the place for the Gala concerts.

409
The symphony performing Hall was designed on the basis of natural sound, using reinforced concrete shell of hyperbolic paraboloids to cover the "Mountain valley-Terraced fields" seats so that the surfaces of these two parts directly form a "sound field". The architectural structural space is a acoustics one. The hard interior surface of the reinforced concrete shell and the sidewall of the parquet seat areas serve as the interface of the reflection and diffusion of the music sound. In addition, a spheric diffuser hung above the performing stage improves the mutually heard condition on the performing stage and reinforces the early reflected sound for the front seat areas.

Northern Pattaya is quite peaceful

Northern Pattaya is quite peaceful, whereas the central and southern parts are livelier, always buzzing with tourists in search for fun. This area of the beach is lined with nightclubs and beach bars that have earned it its raucous reputation. Most people like it in Indochina Thailand tour or Vietnam Cambodia Thailand Tours .

t11

The whole beach is flanked by a tree-lined esplanade dotted with restaurants, noodle bars, souvenir shops, clothing shops, food stalls etc. Unfortunately, the beach is usually overcrowded since it is only 30 metres wide and still densely packed with umbrellas and deck chairs for hire. Furthermore, the water quality is rather poor and not very suitable for bathing. There are no showers available on the beach either. However, Pattaya Beach boasts an excellent selection of watersports, including banana boats, rubber rings, jet skis, pedaloes etc. Note that you should beware of the notorious Jet Ski Scam if you don’t want to be ripped off. Pattaya Beach is an excellent place to lounge in your deckchair, have a coconut or a cold beer. You can also take an ultimately satisfying Thai massage while on the beach.
Before North Pattaya’s popular; it’s was a salt field industry. That’s why the scene still rustic; with original way such as house, boat, fishing boat, field, noodle and craft. End the rustic by Dolphin monument; start point of North Pattaya beach side.
Environment of North Pattaya beach side was different from slat filed. Many hotel, resort and restaurant and you can take a walk under palm to central Pattaya

Thien Mu pagoda became one of the most beautiful pagodas in Cochin

With the large scale and natural beauty, Thien Mu pagoda became one of the most beautiful pagodas in Cochin. Over historical event, Thien Mu was a place for worshiping of Tay Son dynasty. In 1844, on the occasion of Thuan Thien Cao- wife of Gia Long, Thieu Tri renewed the pagoda such as: Tu Nhan tower, Huong Nguyen communal village and two stone steles to record poems of the king. Most people like it in Vietnam Tour or Vietnam Cambodia Thailand Tours.

The temple was built in 1601 at the direction of Nguy?n Hoàng, the head of the Nguy?n Lords. At the time, Hoang was the governor of the province of Thu?n Hóa (now known as Hu?) and although he nominally swore loyalty to the Lê Dynasty in Hanoi, he effectively ruled an independent state in modern day central Vietnam.

The Thien Mu Pagoda has its roots in a local legend: an old woman once appeared on the hill and said that a Lord would come and build a Buddhist pagoda for the country's prosperity. Hearing of this, Lord Nguyen Hoang ordered the construction of the pagoda of the "Heavenly Lady" (Thien Mu).
Construction began in 1601 under Lord Nguyen Hoang, and it was renovated by Lord Nguyen Phuc Tan in 1665. Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu contributed a great bell in 1710 and and a stele erected on the back of a marble tortoise in 1715. The Phuoc Dien Tower in front was added in 1864 by Emperor Thieu Tri. The best time to travel to Vietnam is from November to April of the following year.
The pagoda was heavily damaged in 1943, but was then fully renovated for over 30 years thereafter.
